APRIL SCHEDULE WEEK 1!

Good evening Frozen family!

We hope that you have enjoyed some down time over the last week and look forward to continuing rehearsals online through the month of April. Monday and Tuesday will be full-cast music rehearsals via Google Hangouts. The process for joining the hangout is as follows: you will receive an email invite, respond yes, and on the day/time of that rehearsal you will need to go back to that email and click the link for the Hangout.

On Wednesday and Thursday, we would like to make time for individual music practice. If your student has a vocal solo, please follow the link in the attached PDF and sign up for a time-slot that works for you. Please include what song and the measures that you would like to work on in the description. Any students who do not have vocal solos but would like some individual music help should email myself or Mrs. Hector and we will carve out the time for you.

With the ever-changing landscape of our current situation, no final decisions have been made regarding the cancellation of our show. We will continue to soldier on with the hopes of presenting Frozen Jr. to the public this year. We are currently hoping to have a summer camp in June, similar to our August camp, that will provide us with more rehearsal time. The ultimate goal is to present the show in some way, shape, or form during the month of June.

Regarding the survey that was sent out mid-March; 90% of the cast is available during the first week of June, 86% of the cast is available the second week of June, and 82% of the cast is available during the third week of June. We will need to wait and see whether students are allowed back to school in May and if after-school activities will be allowed to continue in order to make any solid decisions. If your availability has changed (ie cancelled vacations or plans) please let us know as soon as possible. The directors ultimate goal is to present the show with every cast member involved.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and we appreciate your continued support of the theater program at Woodridge District 68!

Sincerely,
Alex Buda & Sabrina Hector

ALTERNATIVE REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Good afternoon Frozen Jr. family,

"A Kingdom of Isolation..." and it looks like we are forging on! We would like to start by thanking you for continuing this journey with us. At this time, our goal is to do whatever we can in order to present the production this school year. We can only hope that the stars align and the sun will shine on!

Starting tomorrow at 2pm, we will be holding Google Hangout rehearsals. The purpose of these rehearsals is to finish staging the acting movements with only the actors involved in scenes 7-14. These rehearsals are not meant for practicing music or full group singing. Please continue to practice your songs, dances, and scenes that we have already learned on your own time. The directors have created a Google Classroom for extra support and resources related to our show. Please accept the invitation and invite guardians by imputing their email addresses.

For the Google Hangout rehearsals, students will need to be on a device with internet. If this device is a tablet, chrome book, or PC then students will need to be on a chrome browser. If students are utilizing a smartphone, then they will need to download the Hangouts Meet by Google app. Students will need a quiet open space to move around in, along with their scripts and a pencil. Students do not need to have a web camera but will need a microphone to communicate with the directors. Students will need to check their school email for a calendar invite containing the link to the Hangout for each separate rehearsal.

If you still have not submitted the Google Form regarding alternative dates for performances, please do so immediately or your data may not be included for making future decisions.
Sincerely,
Alex Buda & Sabrina Hector
